The Massachusetts Children's Book Award (MCBA) consists of a yearly list of 25 literature selections -- chosen by an expert panel of teachers, librarians, and parents -- which are then voted on by students in grades 4-6 to determine that year's winner. Students must read at least 5 of the selections in order to be eligible to vote for their favorite.
